Hi! I’m Charon Zhou, a UI/UX designer, a graphic designer, and a creative thinker.
I’m an incoming Master’s student in Information Science, UX Design track@Cornell University. I graduated from University of California, Irvine with double major in Economics and Art, specialized in Digital Art. During my undergraduate studies, I found my passion for multimedia art and human-centered design, which leads me to become a UI/UX designer.
I had some experience in multimedia design and programming. I conducted an collaborative interactive art project with other 20 artists using MAX programming software, and received unanimous complimentary comments among college students. And I was a teaching assistant at Century High School, Irvine, where I Instructed 30 high school students 3D design technologies by organizing workshops, group discussions, and design projects. Some of my artworks were also selected to University Art Gallery, Catalyst Gallery, and I won the People’s Choice Award of 2nd Annual Art of Healing Showcase at UCI and Dean’s Scholarship Award from UCI.
Besides art and design, I also have interests in film production, scriptwriting and music. I played multiple leading roles including director of photography, art director and graphic designer in Zotfilm Club at UCI. And my short story won the first place in the 2018 Academic English Writing Contest at my school. I once worked as an Producer Assistant at Zhejiang Television, participating in the programs ”Education Dream Chaser“ and “Cultural Zhejiang”. In the past few years, I assembled an indie rock band of 6 members and played the role of lead singer. l organized and participated in many stage performances for school events and charities cause. With my interests in music and IT company, I worked as an Operational Management and Design intern at NetEase Music.
